Description
“Luci cieche”  or blind lights is a outdoor project in milan, which will take place during december 2009.
To design an exhibition for blind people  might sound strange, cause blinds obviously wont see anything.
Though we found out during a research with and about blinds, that 95% of the blind people do have a certain
light perception we came along with that idea.

The exhibition consists of 20 panels, situated from a subway station guiding to the institute of the blinds in
milan. The panels show quotes, songs and stories from and about blind people. The blinds with a light
perception can see the panels because of the high contrast between the LEDs and the black panels. They
read it tactile, means the slide with the finger tops over the out-popping LEDs and read the text, written with
the font for blinds “Braille” invented by Louis Braille whose 200. birthday  was 4th of january this year.
